Ahmad Starks is a former professional basketball player and current skill development trainer from Chicago. He is an expert at the guard positions and brings a ton of basketball knowledge to pass on to his clients. Since 2019, he has worked with elite professionals such as Jerome Randle (NBA/G-League/Overseas), Jahlil Okafor (NBA/G-League/Overseas), Jabari Parker (NBA), Cris Felicio (NBA/Overseas), DJ Steward (NBA/G-League), Sam Thompson (NBA/G-League/Overseas), Dwayne Evans (Overseas), Janee Thompson (Overseas), Linnae Harper (WNBA/Overseas), Alexis Prince (WNBA/Overseas). Ahmad also works with some of the top college, high school and middle school players in the country.

In April 2022, Ahmad was hired as a Player Development Coach for the World Champion, Chicago Sky. That season the Sky tied for the league best 26 wins, the most in franchise history, on top of having 4 All-Stars, countless hall of famers, 3 former Finals MVP’s and All-Rookie Team member. In 2021, he led multiple Pro Days during the NBA Pre Draft Combine for players including Jordan Goodwin (NBA), Alonzo Verge (Overseas), Colbey Ross (Overseas) and more.

Ahmad has played professionally in Sweden, Australia, China, Canada, Brazil, and North Macedonia. He scored over 1200 points while starting at point guard for both Oregon State University, where he broke the all-time record for 3-pointers made, and the University of Illinois. Starks attended Whitney Young High School where he won a state championship in 2009 and in 2010 he earned 1st Team All-City, 1st Team All-State, All-Area, McDonald’s All-American nominee and was ranked as high as 28th in the country on some recruiting websites.

Long before having a successful professional career, Ahmad grew up known in Chicago as a child prodigy. He is regarded as one of the best Small Fry Basketball players ever and was nationally ranked since the 5th grade. Ahmad earned a BA degree in Sociology in 2015 from the University of Illinois.
